Our mission

Getting SA para throwers
to the start line

ZA-LA28 exists for one reason: to bridge the funding gap between six qualified South African para throwers and the 2028 LA Paralympics.

These athletes have done everything right. They have trained, competed, and qualified. But qualifying is not enough when there is no budget for flights, accommodation, classification assessments, or equipment.

With SASCOC's government allocation cut to zero, private support is not a bonus — it is the only way this team competes on the world stage.

The reality

The numbers that
tell the story

31
Athletes sent to Paris 2024
South Africa's smallest Paralympic delegation since 1992. The funding crisis is not new. It is getting worse.
R0
Government subsidy for the squad
SASCOC's government allocation was cut by 100% in 2025. Qualified athletes are left without the funding they need to compete.
6
Athletes who qualified for LA 2028
Six para athletes have earned their place. They just need South Africa to show up for them the way they show up for the country.
